State Representative Seth Grove has announced that the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) has approved $2.8 million for infrastructure projects in York County's 196th district. The funding will go towards crucial projects that will benefit the area.

One of the major projects is the replacement of a water line on Carlisle Road, which has been awarded $891,000 to Dover Township. In addition, the Dover Township Sewer Authority will receive $918,050 for a sewer expansion project. Representative Grove emphasized the importance of these projects, stating, "These are crucial projects for our area."

The Abbottstown Paradise Joint Sewer Authority will receive $1 million for system improvements, while Seven Valleys Borough has been awarded $48,252 for stormwater repairs. Representative Grove highlighted the significance of these repairs, saying, "When inclement weather strikes our area, we expect storm drains to work. The repairs on Church Street will provide a better quality of life for residents and businesses. No one wants to park in or drive through standing water."

In total, there are several other projects in York County that have been approved for funding. These include water treatment backup power for Franklin Borough Municipal Authority, stormwater improvements for Felton Borough, watermain replacement for Hallam Borough, and wastewater plant improvements for New Freedom Borough.

Apart from infrastructure projects, the CFA has also awarded funds to various arts and culture programs in the area. Recipients include Art of Recycle, Creative York, Cultural Alliance of York County Inc., Dance it Forward Greater York, DreamWrights Youth and Family Theatre, Steam Into History York Central Railway of York, Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center, Inc., Susquehanna Folk Music Society, Susquehanna Heritage Corp, York County History Center, and York Symphony Association.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) was established in 2004 as an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) to administer Pennsylvania's economic stimulus packages. The CFA is responsible for funding and investing in programs that promote economic growth in the state.

Representative Seth Grove, who represents the 196th District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, expressed his satisfaction with the approved projects. He stated, "I am pleased to announce $2.8 million in major infrastructure projects were approved for the 196th district."

With the funding now secured, these projects will help improve the infrastructure and quality of life in York County's 196th district.
