Six projects in Pennsylvania’s 47th Legislative District will receive nearly $1.1 million in state grant funding, according to Rep. Joe D’Orsie (R-Manchester).
“I’m pleased to advocate for my district and its infrastructure and emergency response needs,” said D’Orsie. “These grant awards will go to good use – keeping the people of the 47th safe.”
The grants will support a range of initiatives across several municipalities:
– East Manchester Township is set to receive $45,705 for a new fleet vehicle, replacing an existing one.
– Hellam Township will get $29,229 to purchase and install upgraded equipment for a computer server used by both the township and local police department.
– Mt. Wolf Borough has been awarded $110,060 to buy a backhoe loader for ongoing construction projects.
– Spring Garden Township is allocated $575,000 to replace 128 portable and six mobile emergency response radios.
– Springettsbury Township will receive $293,324 for upgrades to two-way police radios.
– The York County Economic Alliance, on behalf of Easter Seals Western and Central Pennsylvania, is granted $44,683 to purchase a minivan.
Funding comes from the Local Share Account program through the Commonwealth Financing Authority. This program supports projects that serve the public interest and aim to improve quality of life within communities.
