Rep. Lloyd Smucker, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 11th district since 2017, recently posted several updates on his official Twitter account regarding economic policies and local events.

On December 18, 2025, Rep. Smucker addressed national economic trends in a tweet: “Under President Biden and Congressional Democrats, inflation soared, reaching a 40-YEAR-HIGH of 9.1%, and REAL WAGES FELL. Under Republican leadership, inflation has fallen to 2.7%, beating expectations, and REAL WAGES ARE UP! Republican policies are working. @POTUS and”.

The following day, on December 19, he highlighted a community event involving historic preservation: “My office recently attended the celebration of Engine No. 17 at Northern Central Railway. After 2 years of repairs, the 1860 replica has returned to operation at its home station in New Freedom! https://t.co/7pOaTRoieD”.

Later that same day, Rep. Smucker reiterated his party’s legislative priorities for families and the economy: “As we close out 2025, Republican priorities have remained constant: Fighting for families Making life more affordable Creating an economy that works for all Americans The Working Families Tax Cuts deliver on these priorities: Expanding child tax credits”.

Lloyd Smucker succeeded Joe Pitts as representative for Pennsylvania’s 11th district in Congress in 2017 after serving in the Pennsylvania Senate from 2009 to 2016. He was born in Lancaster County in 1964 and currently resides there.
