Rep. Lloyd Smucker, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 11th district since 2017, recently highlighted key topics on his social media accounts, including tributes to veterans, appreciation for educators, and calls for government transparency.
On November 17, 2025, Smucker posted a message honoring Cold War veterans: “It was an honor to recognize the brave men and women who served our nation during one of the most consequential periods in history—the Cold War. Your service and dedication to protecting freedom will never be forgotten.”
The following day, November 18, 2025, he marked American Education Week by expressing gratitude toward educational professionals in his district: “It’s American Education Week and what a great opportunity to thank our teachers, administrators, and staff for their commitment to educating Pennsylvania’s next generation. Our students in PA-11 have access to incredible opportunities because of these dedicated individuals.”
On November 19, 2025, Smucker addressed the importance of transparency in government oversight: “Transparency is essential for a trustworthy and accountable government. Chairman Comer and the House Oversight Committee have been committed to delivering transparency since day one—having released over 65,000 pages of documents to date related to the Jeffrey Epstein case.”
Lloyd Smucker has represented Pennsylvania’s 11th District in Congress since replacing Joe Pitts in 2017. Prior to his congressional service, he was a member of the Pennsylvania Senate from 2009 through 2016. Born in Lancaster County in 1964 and currently residing there at age 59, Smucker often uses his platform to engage with issues relevant both nationally and within his district.
