Rep. Lloyd Smucker, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 11th district since 2017, recently posted a series of updates on social media highlighting local wildlife, healthcare legislation, and tax policy.
On December 10, 2025, Smucker announced the return of a popular local livestream: “The Hanover Eagle Cam is back! Tune in to watch Duke and Dutchess for the 2026 nesting season right near Codorus State Park”.
Turning to healthcare issues, Smucker addressed the continuation of a program supporting senior citizens: “The hospital-at-home program has helped thousands of seniors in PA-11 and nationwide receive the quality care they deserve in the comfort of their own homes. The House passed legislation I co-led to extend these services through 2030. Now it’s time for the Senate to act and”. This program enables eligible seniors to receive medical care at home rather than at a hospital.
On December 11, 2025, Smucker also commented on recent tax policies: “The Working Families Tax Cuts mean more money in your pockets and lower taxes for seniors, families, and hardworking Americans. Republican policies are delivering results for families in PA-11 and nationwide.”
Lloyd Smucker has served as the representative for Pennsylvania’s 11th District since replacing Joe Pitts in 2017. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Pennsylvania Senate from 2009 to 2016. Born in Lancaster County in 1964, Smucker continues to reside there.
