Rep. Lloyd Smucker, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 11th district, recently used his social media platform to highlight local educational achievements and promote new tax legislation benefiting small businesses and working families.
On April 6, Smucker posted a message of congratulations to a local school: “Congratulations to Wrightsville Elementary for earning Pennsylvania Blue Ribbon School recognition, an outstanding achievement reflecting not only strong academics but a commitment to excellence. A big shout out to the teachers, staff, families, and students on this https://t.co/s8SiqK4ulu”.
Turning to economic issues on April 8, Smucker emphasized support for small businesses through recent legislative efforts: “The Working Families Tax Cuts work for small businesses, not against them. My Main Street Tax Certainty Act was signed into law as part of the Working Families Tax Cuts and provides the tax relief small businesses need to grow, create jobs, and invest in our communities. https://t.co/BRxCBYPQCM”.
Later that day, he reminded constituents about the upcoming tax deadline while noting perceived benefits from recent federal policies: “TAX DAY is one week away! Americans are already feeling the benefits of the Working Families Tax Cuts this tax season thanks to President Trump and @HouseGOP. No Tax on Tips, Overtime, or Car Loan Interest means bigger refunds and more money in the pockets of hardworking”.
Lloyd Smucker has represented Pennsylvania’s 11th District in Congress since 2017 after previously serving in the Pennsylvania Senate from 2009 to 2016. Born in Lancaster County in 1964, Smucker continues to reside there while serving his constituents at the federal level.
