Rep. Lloyd Smucker, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 11th district since 2017, recently used his social media platform to discuss local business support, recognize veterans, and comment on recent political events.
On November 13, 2025, Smucker posted about his engagement with the local business community: “I had the opportunity to join the Southern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce this morning to discuss federal policies that help small businesses succeed. The Working Families Tax Cuts delivers major wins for small businesses, including my 199A small business deduction and https://t.co/HigK077vCt”.
The following day, on November 14, he acknowledged area veterans: “It was an honor to recognize our local Cold War veterans for their service during one of the most critical points in our nation’s history. https://t.co/6JmSQdrVhw”.
On November 16, Smucker commented on a recent government shutdown: “For 43 days, Democrats shut down the government and held Americans’ livelihoods hostage for “political leverage.” Millions of workers without paychecks. Nationwide flight disruptions. Billions of $$$ lost in economic activity. And for what? Democrats achieved nothing while”.
Lloyd Smucker has represented Pennsylvania’s 11th District in Congress since replacing Joe Pitts in 2017. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Pennsylvania Senate from 2009 to 2016. Born in Lancaster County in 1964, Smucker continues to reside there.
