Rep. Lloyd Smucker, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 11th district since 2017, shared updates on legislative progress and community engagement through several recent posts on his official Twitter account.
On April 3, 2026, Smucker highlighted a legislative milestone: “Proud to see the Survivor Justice Tax Prevention Act pass unanimously out of the House Ways and Means Committee, ensuring survivors of sexual assault can receive their settlement awards tax-free. It is a step toward fairness, dignity, and justice for these survivors.”
The following day, April 4, he reported on a visit to a local educational facility: “Had a great visit to Horn Farm Center to tour its newly renovated Education Center. The center is set to open this Spring and will provide new, hands-on learning experiences for folks to learn more about agriculture, nature, and outdoor programs here in York County.”
On April 5, Smucker extended holiday greetings with the message: “Wishing everyone a blessed, happy Easter!”
Lloyd Smucker has served in Congress since replacing Joe Pitts in 2017 and previously held office in the Pennsylvania Senate from 2009 to 2016. Born in Lancaster County in 1964 and currently residing there at age 59, Smucker maintains an active presence both legislatively and within his local community.
