Rep. Lloyd Smucker, who represents Pennsylvania’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed several issues and events through his social media posts. His tweets touched on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor, economic concerns under the Biden administration, and a visit to an assisted living facility in York.
On December 7, 2025, Smucker commemorated the attack on Pearl Harbor, stating: “We remember the anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor, which took place 84 years ago today, taking the lives of over 2,400 Americans. We will never forget those we lost that day and those who served our nation in the armed forces. We will always remember their sacrifice.”
The following day, December 8, Smucker criticized current economic conditions and highlighted Republican efforts to address them: “The Biden administration created record-high inflation and a failing economy. Congressional Republicans are working hard to change course—creating more opportunities for workers, lowering taxes for families, and strengthening an economy that works for all Americans.”
Later that same day, he shared details about a community engagement event: “Had a great visit at Country Meadows, an assisted living facility in York where I participated in a town-hall style Q & A with residents talking about how I’m fighting for PA-11 in our nation’s capital.”
Lloyd Smucker has represented Pennsylvania’s 11th District since 2017 after replacing Joe Pitts. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Pennsylvania Senate from 2009 to 2016. Born in Lancaster County in 1964 and currently residing there at age 59, Smucker has maintained active engagement with his constituents throughout his tenure.
