70 percent of applicants to York College of Pennsylvania were admitted for fall 2018

At York College of Pennsylvania, 94 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in York enrolled 4,317 students in fall 2018, including 4,050 in undergraduate and 267 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

63 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 36 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (79 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (7 percent).

The school admitted 70 percent of the 5,659 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 25 percent enrolled.
