Dillsburg Elementary School recently issued the following announcement.
Welcome to New Wellsville Elementary Principal
It is with great pleasure that the Northern York County School District announces the hire of Ashlie Rittle as the next Principal of Wellsville Elementary School. The selection process for the new Wellsville principal included participation from Northern School Board members, administration, and professional staff. We want to thank the members of the interview teams for sharing their time in the process and for their valuable input in this important decision.
Ms. Rittle comes to Northern with over 13 years of experience in elementary education. Most recently, she has served as Assistant Elementary Principal at Littlestown Area School District. She has also taught K-5 STEM and 5th Grade Math and Science during her educational career.
Ms. Rittle holds a Masters in educational development from Wilkes University and a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Pennsylvania State University. She will begin in her new role as Principal at Wellsville Elementary School on or before September 9, 2021.
Wellsville’s current Principal, Faithe Permenter, has accepted a new professional opportunity out of state and will remain in her role until approximately early August to ensure a smooth transition. The District extends our deepest gratitude to Mrs. Permenter for her dedicated service and we wish her all the best in her new endeavors.
