83.4% of Wayne County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 51,244 citizens living in Wayne County in 2021, 83.4% were old enough to vote, equating to 42,717 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 23,001 were male, constituting 53.8%, and 19,716 were female, making up 46.2%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Wayne County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 79.1%.
