York County House and Senate Republicans have successfully secured $2.2 million in grant funding for communities across the county. The delegation, consisting of Sens. Kristin Phillips-Hill and Mike Regan, along with Reps. Seth Grove, Kate Klunk, Dawn Keefer, Mike Jones, Wendy Fink, and Joe D’Orsie, expressed their gratitude towards the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) for recognizing the importance of the projects funded.

"The grants awarded today will help fund an assortment of projects, including infrastructure improvements, community safety, transportation upgrades and increased recreational options," stated the members. The grants were awarded through CFA programs such as the Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) and the Local Share Account (LSA), which aims to enhance the quality of life for citizens.

Various entities in York County received funding for specific projects, including Glen Rock Borough for streetscape improvements, West Manchester Township for intersection upgrades, Carroll Township for police vehicles, Dallastown Borough for maintenance equipment, and several others. The grants cover a wide range of initiatives aimed at improving the community's infrastructure and services.

Among the recipients, Heidelberg Township will utilize the funds to construct and install an emergency generator, fencing, and lighting at a well facility, while Manchester Borough will purchase a bucket truck. Additionally, the York County Economic Alliance will benefit from the grants by acquiring essential resources for organizations such as Bell Socialization, Northern Central Railway of York, TrueNorth, and YMCA of the Roses.

The $2.2 million grant funding secured by the York County Republican delegation reflects a commitment to enhancing the overall well-being and functionality of communities in the region.
