York County House, Senate Republicans Bring Home $2.2 Million in Community Grant Funds

HARRISBURG – The York County Republican delegation to the House and Senate proudly announced their success in securing $2.2 million in grant funding for communities across the county. The delegation, consisting of notable figures such as Sens. Kristin Phillips-Hill and Mike Regan, along with several Representatives, expressed their gratitude towards the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) for acknowledging the significance of the projects.

According to the members, "The grants awarded today will help fund an assortment of projects, including infrastructure improvements, community safety, transportation upgrades and increased recreational options." This substantial funding will undoubtedly contribute to enhancing various aspects of community life in York County.

The grants were allocated through different CFA programs, notably the Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) and the Local Share Account (LSA). The MTF aims to ensure a safe and reliable transportation system for all Pennsylvanians, while the LSA, funded by gaming revenue, focuses on enhancing citizens' quality of life.

Several entities in York County were beneficiaries of this funding, with allocations such as $783,750 to Glen Rock Borough for streetscape improvements, $125,925 to Carroll Township for new police vehicles, and $164,950 to Manchester Borough for a bucket truck, among others. The grants were tailored to address specific needs within the community, ranging from infrastructure enhancements to public safety improvements.

In expressing their appreciation, the York County House and Senate Republicans emphasized, "We want to thank the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) for recognizing the importance of these projects." The impact of this funding is expected to be far-reaching and positively influence the lives of residents in various parts of York County.
