State Rep. Kate Klunk | Pennsylvania 169th Legislative District
Rep. Kate Klunk (R-Hanover) is organizing a Senior Scam Jam for older adults in the 169th District on Wednesday, Aug. 21, from 9-11 a.m. at The Markets at Hanover, located at 1649 Broadway St. in Hanover.
The event is presented in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities and aims to educate seniors on how to avoid common scams that lead to identity theft and financial fraud through interactive games.
“Aug. 21 is National Senior Citizens Day, and I want to provide those in my district with the opportunity to learn more about the tactics scammers and fraudsters use to gain access to sensitive information,” said Klunk. “Not only is Senior Scam Jam an educational event, but it’s going to be a fun time with games and activities for those in attendance. I hope to see many people take advantage of this free event.”
