Reps. Joe D’Orsie, Seth Grove, Dawn Keefer, Kate Klunk, Mike Jones, and Wendy Fink have announced that Junior Achievement of South Central Pennsylvania (JASCPA) will receive a $625,000 jobs training grant from the state Department of Education. This funding is intended to enhance educational services already in place in classrooms.

The grant will benefit school districts in York County and 13 other counties served by JASCPA. It aims to provide students with opportunities to learn from industry professionals through various educational programs.

"Junior Achievement impacts students far beyond the classroom, and we are excited York County students will see enhanced learning opportunities as a result of this grant," the representatives stated. "By imparting practical skills, students are better prepared for successful, family-sustaining careers. We look forward to seeing how the grant dollars are invested for the betterment of local students."

JASCPA, headquartered in York, serves 95 school districts across 14 counties. In the 2023-24 academic year, JASCPA reached nearly 110,000 students from Pre-K to 12th grade in both private and public schools. Nationally, Junior Achievement engages over 3 million students annually across 127,817 classrooms and after-school locations.
