The York County Republican delegation to the Pennsylvania General Assembly has announced grant funding from the state's Local Share Account (LSA) program. A total of nearly $6.1 million in gaming revenue has been allocated for various projects in York County.
The delegation includes Senators Kristin Phillips-Hill and Mike Regan, along with Representatives Seth Grove, Kate Klunk, Dawn Keefer, Mike Jones, Joe D’Orsie, and Wendy Fink.
“These projects vary greatly, but all will improve the lives of current and future York County residents,” the delegation stated. “We are glad the Commonwealth Financing Authority recognized the importance of these projects and what they mean to our constituents. It is a privilege to advocate for these investments in the place we call home.”
The grants awarded include $225,000 for Scout Camp Tuckahoe rehabilitation in Franklin Township and $216,750 for roof renovation at the Jewish Community Centre in York Township. Other notable allocations are $349,978 for renovations at York College of Pennsylvania and $500,000 for expanding the Hanover Trolley Trail in Heidelberg Township.
Additionally, funds have been designated for several infrastructure improvements across different townships and boroughs within York County. These include sidewalk completion by the York County Agricultural Society in West Manchester Township ($300,000), stormwater improvements in Hayward-Warwick area ($624,828), and equipment purchases for various municipal needs.
These grants were approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA), an independent agency responsible for overseeing funding programs aimed at fostering economic growth within Pennsylvania.
