Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill is set to host a significant event at the Pennsylvania State Capitol, involving 178 high school students from southern York County. This gathering marks her third annual student government seminar and will be held on Thursday, October 24th, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The program offers students a chance to engage directly with the legislative process by assuming the roles of senators. They will debate and vote on mock legislation through both committee processes and general sessions. The experience aims to provide these young individuals with insights into state government operations while fostering connections with peers and officials.

Students attending come from several local schools, including Central York High School, Dallastown Area High School, Hanover Senior High School, Kennard-Dale High School, Red Lion Senior High School, Spring Grove Area High School, Susquehannock High School, and York Country Day School.

Senator Phillips-Hill will be available for comments during the event between 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., as well as after 1:30 p.m. Further details about the agenda can be accessed online.
