Rep. Tom Jones, representing the 98th Legislative District, has officially commenced his second term in office as he took the oath alongside other members of the House of Representatives. The district covers areas within Lancaster and Lebanon counties, including Elizabethtown, Marietta, Mount Joy, and Mount Gretna, as well as several townships.
Expressing gratitude for his re-election, Jones stated, "I am thankful for the trust that has been placed in me to represent the people of our district in Harrisburg. This is a job I will never take lightly. I will always do my best to make sure the interests of our community are heard loud and clear."
Jones plans to continue focusing on several key issues during his term. These include upholding life sanctity, protecting Second Amendment rights, empowering parents in their children's education, and advocating for fiscal responsibility by curbing government spending.
Reflecting on past efforts and future plans, Jones remarked, "I look forward to continuing the work we started last session. House Republicans put forth solid, viable alternatives to Democratic legislation. I believe our alternatives would be a greater benefit to all Pennsylvanians and it is my hope that it will be strongly considered as we get underway this session. I will always be a voice for commonsense legislation that respects taxpayers’ freedom and doesn’t increase the size of government."
The 98th Legislative District includes various municipalities and townships in Lancaster and Lebanon counties.
