Rep. Joe D’Orsie of Manchester has been sworn in for his second term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. D’Orsie expressed enthusiasm about continuing to represent the 47th District, stating, “I’m excited to continue representing the wonderful people of the 47th and ensuring their interests and concerns are heard at the Capitol.” He emphasized his commitment by adding, “The vigor and passion that I carried into last session has not waned; I’m ready now more than ever to fight for my friends and neighbors in Harrisburg.”

In his first term, D’Orsie was actively involved in advocating for various issues including protecting women and girls in sports, educational choice for K-12 students and families across Pennsylvania, free speech in higher education, and congressional term limits. His efforts were recognized with the Guardian of Small Business designation from the National Federation of Independent Businesses.

Looking ahead to his second term, D’Orsie aims to focus on reforming pharmacy benefit managers, reducing regulatory burdens to foster state growth, and supporting businesses, families, and students throughout Pennsylvania.

The 47th Legislative District encompasses Conewago, Manchester, East Manchester, Hellam townships; Hallam, Manchester, Mount Wolf and Wrightsville boroughs; along with a portion of Springettsbury Township in York County.
