Lloyd Smucker shares insights on veteran care and economic concerns

Rep. Lloyd Smucker, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania's 11th district, shared several updates on social media recently. His posts cover topics ranging from healthcare for veterans to national fiscal concerns and historical remembrance.

On December 6, 2024, Rep. Smucker expressed gratitude towards the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He stated that "most veterans from PA-11 receive medical care at @VALebanon," acknowledging Executive Director Jeffrey Beiler for showcasing their facilities. He praised the center by noting that "the Lebanon VA consistently ranks among the best in the nation for patient experience." "Most veterans from PA-11 receive medical care at @VALebanon..."

The following day, December 7, 2024, he commemorated the anniversary of Pearl Harbor with a solemn message: "December 7, 1941, 'a date which will live in infamy…' Today marks the 83rd anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor." Rep. Smucker urged respect and honor for those lost and those who served during this historic event. "December 7, 1941, 'a date which will live in infamy…'"

Later that same day, Rep. Smucker addressed economic issues by mentioning influential figures Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy along with their association with DOGE cryptocurrency. He highlighted fiscal challenges by stating: ".@elonmusk and @VivekGRamaswamy's @DOGE can help change our nation’s fiscal trajectory." He emphasized addressing what he considers "the greatest internal threat facing our nation—our $36 trillion in debt."
