Lloyd Smucker addresses inauguration tickets deadline and national debt concerns

Rep. Lloyd Smucker, who has been serving Pennsylvania’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, shared several updates through his Twitter account. The tweets address topics ranging from ticket requests for a significant political event to constituent assistance and fiscal policy concerns.

On December 9, 2024, Rep. Smucker reminded constituents about the deadline to request tickets for the upcoming presidential inauguration of Donald Trump on January 20, 2025. He emphasized urgency by stating "This Friday, December 13, 2024, is the deadline to submit a request for tickets from my office for the January 20, 2025, inauguration of @realDonaldTrump as 47th President of the United States."

The following day on December 10, he acknowledged a constituent named Catherine who expressed gratitude for his office's prompt response regarding her tax return issue. He conveyed appreciation for her words and extended an offer of assistance with federal agencies by saying “After a year of trying to get answers on my return, your swift actions made a big difference.” Thanks for the kind words, Catherine."

Later that day, Rep. Smucker addressed economic issues facing the nation. He highlighted concerns over national debt and its implications for future generations by stating "We must change our fiscal trajectory and address our $36 trillion and growing national debt." His tweet underscores his view that this financial challenge is one of America's greatest internal threats.
