Rep. Tom Jones, a Republican representing the 98th Legislative District of Pennsylvania, has been sworn in for his second term in office. The ceremony took place with fellow members of the House of Representatives as they began their legislative duties.

Jones expressed gratitude for the continued trust from his constituents. "I am thankful for the trust that has been placed in me to represent the people of our district in Harrisburg. This is a job I will never take lightly. I will always do my best to make sure the interests of our community are heard loud and clear," he stated.

In his upcoming term, Jones aims to focus on several key issues, including protecting Second Amendment rights and advocating for parental influence in education. He also plans to work towards reducing government spending to allow Pennsylvanians to retain more of their earnings.

"I look forward to continuing the work we started last session. House Republicans put forth solid, viable alternatives to Democratic legislation," Jones remarked. "I believe our alternatives would be a greater benefit to all Pennsylvanians and it is my hope that it will be strongly considered as we get underway this session. I will always be a voice for commonsense legislation that respects taxpayers’ freedom and doesn’t increase the size of government."

The 98th Legislative District encompasses parts of Lancaster and Lebanon counties, including Elizabethtown, Marietta, Mount Joy, Mount Gretna, and several townships such as East Donegal and South Londonderry.
