Rep. Tom Jones of Lancaster/Lebanon is organizing two series of free events for the community, catering to both children and adults. The events aim to engage residents with government activities and educate them on foundational national principles.
Jones stated, “Reaching residents of all ages has been a goal of mine since being blessed to serve the people of the district.” He emphasized that these events are designed to increase civic engagement and understanding among constituents.
The first event series, Kid Patriot Songs & Storytime, begins on February 10 and targets children from preschool through second grade. These sessions will be held at Jones' office in Elizabethtown from 10-11 a.m., featuring America-themed songs, stories, and activities. The program will continue on April 14 and May 12. A parent or guardian must accompany each child, and light refreshments will be provided.
For adults, Jones is offering Constitution Alive!, a six-week video series starting February 24. This program focuses on the significance of the U.S. Constitution and the sacrifices made by its founders. Sessions will occur every Monday until March 31 from 1-3 p.m., also at Jones’ office.
These initiatives are part of a broader effort by Jones to host various community events throughout the year. Residents interested in attending can register by contacting his office at 717-367-5525.
