In another tweet posted on the same day, he explained that "The HALT Fentanyl Act labels these fentanyl analogs as Schedule I substances and empowers law enforcement agencies to combat them and prevent additional loss of loved ones."
Rep. Smucker also highlighted local data by mentioning that "They’re the leading cause of overdose deaths in Lancaster County, according to the latest data from Joining Forces, a communitywide effort to combat the overdose epidemic."
