Rep. Joe D’Orsie has announced that Locust Point York Holdings, LLC will receive $700,000 for traffic safety improvements on Locust Point Road in Conewago Township, York County. The funding comes from the Department of Community and Economic Development's Multimodal Transportation Fund.

“Locust Point Road is a heavily traveled thoroughfare in the 47th, and I believe improving this busy stretch of road is prudent,” said D’Orsie. “I am glad to see that the improved safety of our citizens is being prioritized.”

The Multimodal Transportation Fund aims to support economic development and ensure safe transportation systems are available to residents across the Commonwealth. It provides grants for developing, rehabilitating, and enhancing transportation assets in existing communities. These funds can be used for streetscape improvements, lighting, sidewalk enhancements, pedestrian safety measures, connectivity of transportation assets, and transit-oriented development.
