Foooddddd

Radnor Senior High School issued the following announcement.

Radnor Township School District Offering Free Breakfast and Lunch Meals for Residents Under 18 Years Old

RTSD Food Service expands program to provide meals 7 days a week

The Radnor Township School District Food Service department recently increased the number of free meals available to district residents under 18 to one breakfast and one lunch per day, 7 days a week. The meal pickup procedure is dependent on each child’s enrollment status for the 2020-21 school year (click here to learn more).

This program is made possible through the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) extention of nationwide waivers to continue the Seamless Summer Option through December 31, 2020. Meals are available for all district residents under the age of 18, regardless of whether or not they attend RTSD schools.

If you are interested in this service, please email Beth Cooke at beth.cooke@rtsd.org to sign up for the program. You will receive a confirmation email that will include the date of your first scheduled pick-up.

The grab-and-go style bags will contain 1 breakfast meal and 1 lunch meal for each day. Each meal will be in compliance with the nutritional standards set by the National School Lunch Program. You can expect to see a variety of items, including cereals/grains, proteins, milk, fruit juice, fresh fruits and vegetables. Some meals may need to be heated at home, so please follow instructions which come with the meals and promptly refrigerate and/or freeze components as needed.

For more information, see the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) below. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Beth Cooke at beth.cooke@rtsd.org or 610-688-8100 x6048.
