Rep. Wendy Fink has proposed a bill to honor PVT Myles Albert Ness by designating a bridge in York County in his name. Ness, a Windsor Township resident and World War I veteran, joined the U.S. Army in 1917 and served in the 6th Infantry Regiment, part of the 5th Infantry Division. He participated in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive and, despite being wounded, survived the war. Ness passed away on May 15, 1958, and is interred at Zion United Methodist Church in Windsor Township.

Fink expressed her motivation for the legislation, stating, “By drawing attention to the lives and legacies of local veterans, we can preserve their memory, as well as inspire patriotism and gratitude in future generations. I am grateful for the opportunity to pay tribute to a York Countian whose service shaped our history and has had a lasting impact on the community.”

Inquiries regarding this legislative initiative or other state-related issues can be directed to Rep. Fink's office at 717-244-9232.
