WellSpan Health has been recognized as one of the 2025 Acclaim Award honorees by the American Medical Group Association (AMGA). This acknowledgment highlights the organization's commitment to delivering high-quality care within a framework that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.

AMGA praised several WellSpan initiatives, including:
1. Addressing gaps in chronic pain care through a transdisciplinary model, showing early success in the WellSpan Restorative Pain Program.
2. Identifying and mitigating lead poisoning risks in children in collaboration with local and state health departments.
3. Reducing avoidable health failure admissions and unnecessary care costs.
4. Revamping an internal Wellness Portal to centralize well-being resources.
WellSpan has focused on raising awareness and education, improving access to cost-effective care, and setting goals to lower unnecessary expenses. The organization also enhanced its patient engagement platform by rescheduling 58,000 appointments to earlier dates to prevent symptom escalation and associated care costs.
The AMGA Acclaim Award was first established in 1999 and is presented at the AMGA Annual Conference. It honors medical groups for significant advancements in patient care.
