Suzanne Shaffer, instructional designer at Penn State York, will help participants understand how emotions work and how they can harness the power in their lives, with the goal to develop emotional intelligence along the way. Activities during the workshop will provide students with strategies that can be used to:

  • Develop empathy
  • Wield emotions skillfully in interpersonal relationships
The workshop balances content delivery with active experiential learning for participants.
