Mar. 26, 2024 - HARRISBURG – The York County Republican delegation to the House and Senate recently announced that they have successfully secured $2.2 million in grant funding for various communities across the county.
The delegation, consisting of Senators Kristin Phillips-Hill and Mike Regan, along with Representatives Seth Grove, Kate Klunk, Dawn Keefer, Mike Jones, Wendy Fink, and Joe D’Orsie, expressed their gratitude for the grants awarded. They highlighted the diverse range of projects that will benefit from this funding, including infrastructure improvements, community safety initiatives, transportation upgrades, and enhanced recreational options.
In their statement, the group of lawmakers emphasized, "The grants awarded today will help fund an assortment of projects, including infrastructure improvements, community safety, transportation upgrades and increased recreational options." They also extended their appreciation to the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) for recognizing the significance of these projects, stating, "We want to thank the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) for recognizing the importance of these projects."
The grants were distributed through various CFA programs, such as the Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) and the Local Share Account (LSA). Examples of the funding allocated within York County include support for streetscape improvements, intersection enhancements, police vehicle purchases, and facility upgrades.
Overall, the grants aim to enhance the quality of life for residents and contribute to the ongoing development of communities in York County.
