York County Delegation to host economic summit on September 14

State Rep. Joseph D'Orsie | Pennsylvania 47th Legislative District

State Rep. Seth Grove (R-York) has announced an Economic Summit scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 14, from 1-4 p.m. at Alumni Hall, York College of Pennsylvania, York.

Grove will be joined by Reps. Joe D’Orsie (R-York), Kate Klunk (R-York), Dawn Keefer (R-York), Wendy Fink (R-York), Mike Jones (R-York), and Carol Hill-Evans (D-York). Staff from the offices of State Sens. Kristin Phillips-Hill and Mike Regan will also attend.

Members of the public and press are invited to attend. Three separate panels will provide insights into the economic conditions of York County, Pennsylvania, and the nation, along with policies that could foster improvement.

Panel 1: The Local Economy: Building a SMART Village

This panel will offer a general overview of York County’s local economy with presentations by the York County Economic Alliance (YCEA), REALTORS Association of York and Adams Counties, and the Manufacturers Association.

Panel 2: The Current State of the National and State Economy

Presentations in this panel will be delivered by representatives from the Independent Fiscal Office (IFO) and American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC).

Panel 3: Better Results=Better Lives

This panel will discuss potential improvements in legislative or regulatory changes that could have significant impacts. Presenters include PA Chamber of Business and Industry, Manufacturers Association, and National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).
